Sworn Translator in Lanzarote
A sworn translation bears the seal and signature of a translator appointed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and is the only type that is legally valid before official bodies. We’ve been providing sworn translations in Lanzarote for 26 years, and each one leaves our office with a seal, signature and the assurance that it has been done properly.
How does it work? Email us a scanned copy of your document, and we’ll provide a quote once we’ve seen it (never before, because every document is different). When it’s ready, we’ll hand it over to you with all the required formalities.
Sworn translations for Fuerteventura too
If you’re in Fuerteventura and need a sworn translation, the process is the same: email us your document and we’ll send you the hard copy by courier between the islands. No need to leave home, and with the same seal and signature.
What a sworn translation is and when you need one
You’ll need one whenever an official body asks you for a legally valid translated document: immigration paperwork, notaries, courts, universities, public authorities... Without the seal of a sworn translator, the translation is not official.

Frequently asked questions
-
How much does a sworn translation cost?
It depends on the document: its length, language, complexity... That’s why we need to see it first. Email us a scanned copy and we’ll give you an exact quote, with no obligation.
-
How long does a sworn translation take?
It depends on the length. A certificate may take just a few days; a longer document, more. We’ll give you the turnaround time in writing along with the quote.
-
What’s the difference between a sworn and a non-sworn translation?
A sworn translation bears the seal and signature of a sworn translator and is legally valid. An ordinary translation is not official and is for private or internal use.
-
Can a sworn translation be sent by email?
We can email you a scanned copy in advance, but the official translation is provided on paper, with seal and signature.
