Sworn Interpreter at Notary Offices in Lanzarote
If you need to sign a document before a notary in Arrecife and one of the parties does not speak Spanish, a sworn interpreter does not have to be present at the signing, but it is advisable. This is what we do every morning and have done for the past 26 years: we work at notary offices in Arrecife, the island’s capital, interpreting property sales, mortgages, powers of attorney, company deeds, minutes... all kinds of public deeds. We work with Arrecife’s notary offices.
How interpreting works at a notary’s office
The notary or you can contact us by email with the date and type of transaction. We attend the notary’s office, interpret the document aloud for the party who does not understand Spanish, and sign alongside the notary. The sworn interpreter’s presence and signature are recorded in the deed.
